About Dr. Carmen Chiran
I’m an ENT surgeon with approximately 20 years of clinical experience across 3 countries (Romania, Ireland, and the UAE). I’ve worked with patients across the full breadth of ear, nose, and throat medicine — from children with recurrent ear infections to adults navigating complex diagnoses, from straightforward procedures to head and neck surgery.
Why I built this
In every clinic, I see the same thing: patients who are frightened not because their condition is frightening, but because nobody has properly explained it to them. They’ve searched online and found either nothing useful or something that made the fear worse. ENT for Everyone is here to close that gap.
What you’ll find here
Every article, video, and resource on this platform is designed to build the correct mental model — not to simplify medicine, but to make it genuinely understandable. I believe that a patient who understands what is happening to them makes better decisions, asks better questions, and gets better outcomes. That belief is the foundation of everything here.
A note on the philosophy
Medical decisions are never purely clinical. They are human decisions, shaped by fear, hope, identity, and the stories we tell ourselves about our own bodies. I take that seriously. You’ll notice it in the way I write and speak — I try to acknowledge the human dimension of every medical question, not as a detour from the medicine, but as a deeper engagement with it.
